Block Grants

Block grants provide discretionary funds for diocesan expenses including administrative, secretariat operating grants, and other general expenses. Granting amounts for block grants can range from $2,000 upwards to approximately $600,000. In 2020 approximately $10 million dollars was distributed to grant recipients through monthly/quarterly/semi-annual appropriations.

Block Grants provide financial assistance for operating expenses of aided dioceses within The Episcopal Church; Provinces within the Anglican Communion; and Historically Black Colleges.  Block grants do not follow a competitive application process. If you have any questions, contact Ann Hercules
